Road Warriors, Cats up 2-0

The Florida Panthers are now 9-3 on the road these playoffs after taking Games 1 and 2 from the Oilers in Edmonton. Home Ice will now shift to Florida but that may not be bad news for the Oilers. The Panthers are just 5-5 at home this postseason so this series is far from over.

Edmonton however will need to drill up some better defense and goaltending if they want to be champions. Oscar Dansk was pulled from the first two games in this series, surrendering 11 goals to the high powered Florida offense. Dansk hasn’t gotten much help though as the Oiler defense has allowed 71 shots on goal through six periods.

For the Panthers, they need to keep feeding Nathan MacKinnon the puck. The human dynamo has 25 points through 23 games including two goals in Game 2. It doesn’t hurt that he’s been paired up with Geno Malkin who has 23 points of his own.
